CIR final report

The Centre for Immune Regulation (CIR) was a Centre of Excellence established by the Research Council of Norway. The centre was running for 10 years (2007–2017) with the University of Oslo and the Oslo University Hospital as hosting institutions. CIR was also a FOCIS (Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies) Center of Excellence.

The scientific goal of the centre was to identify and investigate mechanisms of immune dysregulation that contribute to autoimmune and allergic disease to advance the development of therapeutics.

At the end of operation, CIR comprised seven research groups. The groups were affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Oslo and the Clinic for Laboratory Medicine at the Oslo University Hospital.
